Our Love Story

We first met 5 years ago in Kupang, on March 20th, 2021, at a small public health center during a Covid vaccination. Covid was a thing backthen. Not exactly the most romantic place and moment to start a love story.

At the time, Bram had just returned from a 4-month assignment in Alor, while Carolin was the new girl at the office. We were working at the same place—BNI.

No it was not a Love at first sight. There was nothing special about our first meeting. In fact, we didn’t really remember each other. Everyone was wearing masks, so the only thing Carolin remembers is a black t-shirt and a black cap Bram was wearing. And Bram? He remembers nothing. Completely blank. Romantic? Definitely not.

Time went by, and we were just coworkers. Saying hi, having small talks, and somehow always being teased and matched by our colleagues. But we didn’t think much of it, because at that time, we both had our own relationships and were pretty sure we had already found “the one.” Plot twist: we were wrong.

In 2024, Carolin moved to Jakarta. The distance, surprisingly, became the beginning of everything. What started as a simple WhatsApp conversation slowly turned into something more—and somehow, we just couldn’t stop talking.

From light chats to hours of phone calls, video calls, and making time to meet whenever we could. Long distance wasn’t always easy, but we got through it with one thing that never ran out: laughter.

Of course, we missed each other a lot—but every reunion made it all worth it. And through all the distance, stories, and moments we’ve shared, we realized one thing: we just want to keep doing life together.

So from something we never planned, here we are—choosing each other, and continuing this story… together, forever.

Terima kasih

Merupakan suatu kebahagiaan dan kehormatan bagi kami, apabila Bapak/Ibu/Saudara/i, berkenan hadir dan memberikan do’a restu kepada kami.
