Our Journey: From Chance Encounter to Forever
2024
We first crossed paths in Batam, where we were both stationed for work. Our initial meeting was casual, just like regular friends. We exchanged phone numbers, but after that, we completely lost touch.
July 2025
Destiny brought us together again in Medan. Süleyman was on a business trip traveling across Indonesia and had stopped in Medan as his final destination before returning to Türkiye. Just three days before his flight back, he remembered that Kiky was from Medan. He reached out, and we arranged to meet for dinner at a local restaurant. Having just finished work, Kiky rushed straight to meet him without any makeup or fancy clothes because time was running short. Yet, as the evening wound down and Kiky prepared to head home, Süleyman asked to meet her mother to state his honorable and serious intentions. Three days later, we said our goodbyes as he departed.
August 2025
Right on National Girlfriend Day, Süleyman officially committed to Kiky, marking the start of our serious relationship. From that point on, Süleyman introduced Kiky to his mother, and Kiky began communicating with her directly.
December 2025
After Süleyman returned to Türkiye, we had to navigate a long-distance relationship spanning across Indonesia and the Baltic Sea, as Süleyman’s work required him to sail. On December 17, 2025, we finally reunited in Istanbul. Kiky flew to Türkiye to be formally introduced to Süleyman’s extended family.
February 2026
On February 23, 2026, we traveled back to Indonesia together to prepare for the next big step in our lives.
March 2026
On March 25, 2026, we held our Akad Nikah at the Great Mosque of Al-Mashun. It was a dream come true for Kiky to marry at this beautiful, historic landmark of Indonesia.
