OUR STORY
A LOVE WRITTEN IN THE STARS
Our journey began with a simple hello which turned into countless conversations, shared dreams, and a love that continues to grow deeper with each passing day.
Through laughter and adventures, quiet moments and celebrations, we’ve built a foundation of friendship, a love for Christ, trust and unwavering support for one another.
On December 12th, 2026, surrounded by our nearest and dearest at the LAB, in Robertson, we will promise our forever to each other.
We cannot wait to celebrate this next beautiful chapter with you.
How did you two meet?
We met in the most unexpected way—standing in line for immigration onboard the Sun Princess. What started as a simple, ordinary moment quickly turned into something unforgettable. Among the hustle of travel and paperwork, we struck up a conversation that felt easy, natural, and meant to be.
From that chance encounter at sea, a connection began to grow—one that would carry us far beyond that line, that ship, and that day. It’s funny how life works; sometimes the most beautiful stories begin in the most ordinary places.
And just like that, our journey together began.
Who made the first move? How?
That would definitely be Marlon. Not long after we met, he invited me to Crew bar, spontaneous, and very him. There was just one condition: I wasn’t allowed to get too dressed up. It was such a simple request, but it said everything. From the very beginning, he wanted things to be real, easy, and completely ourselves—and that’s exactly how it’s been ever since.
Who said I love you first.
She did !!!!
What’s your most memorable date?
Our most memorable date has to be the day we went wine blending together. What started as a fun and unique experience turned into something so meaningful—we created our own custom bottle of wine, crafted side by side.
We loved it so much that we decided to keep that very bottle for our wedding, making it a symbol of the day we blended not just wine, but our lives together. That’s also why we’ve incorporated it into our wedding weekend celebrations—so we can relive that special memory with the people we love most
What’s your favorite activity to do together?
Honestly—anything, as long as we’re side by side. Whether it’s traveling, trying something new, or just enjoying a quiet moment, it’s never really about the activity. It’s about being together, and that’s what makes everything feel special.
Where are you headed for your honeymoon?
For our honeymoon, we’ve got our hearts set on a little adventure—hopefully Bali (wink, wink!) followed by a safari. A mix of relaxation and wild experiences feels perfectly “us,” and we can’t wait to start this next chapter exploring the world together.
What’s the best meal you’ve had together?
The best meal we’ve ever had together is, without a doubt, anything we’ve cooked side by side. As we’ve said, we love doing things together—and being in the kitchen is no exception. It’s where we laugh, experiment, and create something special from scratch.
That said… he is prob the better cook.
What’s the most memorable trip you’ve taken together?
Our most memorable trip was a completely spontaneous one—we booked a stay at the LAB, Franshoek and instantly fell in love with it and their staff. What was meant to be a short visit turned into a longer stay because we simply didn’t want to leave.
That experience meant so much to us that it inspired one of the biggest decisions for our wedding—we’ll be celebrating at The Lab’s beautiful larger venue in Robertson. It feels so special to return to a place that already holds such a meaningful piece of our story.
